Individuals and groups can schedule a tour or consultation on growing lavender or beekeeping.

Lavender Hill Farms, established in 2003, is the largest commercial lavender farm in Michigan. The owners are committed to growing healthy varieties to supply the ever increasing demand for fresh and dried flowers, culinary lavender and a variety of sachets for home use. The farm is an earth friendly farm using no pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. So suited is the soil in Northern Michigan, that the use of fertilizers and irrigation is not necessary. Over 30 varieties are grown at Lavender Hill Farms, all of which are hand planted and harvested.  Visitors may pick their own lavender, or perhaps view the distilling process.

Featuring......

  • 'Lavender  Grey' - a custom blended, organic black tea with our own lavender. A delightful tea that invites you to sit down, put up your feet  and relax, perchance to dream.

It is my favorite afternoon tea, but I confess that I'm drinking it in the morning too. It is my clear signal to sit awhile and relax. I hope you will take time to stop by and try it. Let's spread the joy of a beautiful cup of tea. So well rounded, it can be enjoyed as iced tea as well.

 SPRING WAS HERE

Thank you all for patiently waiting for me to remove the winter pictures. We returned to Northern Michigan May 1, to warm and sunny days. Then the snow fell again. As lavender always does, it waited for just the right time to show signs of life. It couldn't be more beautiful than this spring green color as it starts its peduncles rising!

We jumped right in to start the construction of our lavender labyrinth. How exciting it is to develop such an experience in the midst of a wild field of weeds. The site is formed, the lavender is planted, and nature will do the rest. We still have some literature to prepare for walking the labyrinth...........we know you will love it, even in its infancy.
Our wonderful team of sewing ladies have been hard at work this winter. They have even met to have some fun! We think you will enjoy the new items in the gift shop.
